Painting for Pleasure

Painting for Pleasure sessions are held every Friday morning between 10.00am and 12.00noon at the Roses Theatre. We are a group of 10-15 members meeting for the pleasure of painting in whatever medium you choose, and whatever subject you choose. There is also the added pleasure of excellent company plus tea, coffee, and biscuits.

Today we have added photos of members paintings based on this months project “SKIES”. A kind volunteer from the Roses Theatre has looked at the exhibits and awarded a first and second rating to the paintings just to add a little fun to the monthly event. The deserved First and Second places were awarded to Anona Wynne and Liz Pech respectively. Well done to both of you, but also to the other artists who took part in this project.

We intend to have an update of new paintings on a monthly basis. Members are requested to bring in any paintings they would like displayed on this website on the last Friday of each month when we will photograph the paintings and display them on the website. Please note that wherever possible paintings should not be mounted behind glass or other reflective materials to avoid glare on the photoimages produced
