We meet on the third Saturday of each month at Clee House, Lanes Court Close, (off Link Road), Tewkesbury (GL20 5JQ), at 10 am for coffee and a chat, then at 10.30 am, we get down to the business of planning future activities.

As a group, we usually enjoy a monthly Sunday lunch at a local pub or restaurant.

In small groups we may plan a trip to the theatre to see a film, an event cinema screening, a show or a pantomime. Alternatively, we might use our bus passes to visit a nearby town for a bit of sightseeing, shopping and, of course, lunch.

We have visited the circus several times and have also visited stately homes in small groups.

Many of us have enjoyed holidays together, both at home and abroad.

Some of us also meet monthly for “Scrabble afternoons”, usually at Pauline’s house.

We are often quite busy, with two or three activities taking place in a week, and many lasting friendships have been formed.

There is also another group, “Solos Too”, whose members enjoy the same sorts of activities. They meet on the second Saturday of each month.

All the original “Solos” members are single ladies — that’s just how it happened! However, “Solos Too” is a mixed group.
