Solos
We usually meet on the 3rd Saturday in the month, at Clee House Tewkesbury, at 10am for 10.30am.
Our purpose is to enjoy each other’s company at a large variety of events.
We have in the past few years planned boat trips, musical outings, theatre trips, film trips, holidays in the UK and abroad, visits to stately homes and gardens, walks and strolls, and lots of lovely lunches – all exclusively for single people. We also meet monthly for ” Scrabble afternoons” usually at Pauline’s house.
(There is “Solos Too”, another group who do the same sort of things. They meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month.)
All the original “Solos” members are ladies – (just the way it happened) but “Solos Too” are a mixed group
We may have just a few or many members wanting to enjoy any particular activity – any number may participate#.
There’s a happy side-effect in our solos groups – you can often find someone to join you to go to any other function that you want to attend, that you know you will enjoy more with a friendly person to share the experience – and we’re all very friendly.
At the monthly meeting we decide our trips out. We seem to be very busy, with often three get-togethers in one week, but we all enjoy it and several friendships have been made.
