Walk Detail Submission

Please give mobile number that walkers can use to contact you if they are unable to come, going to be late or a lost. There may be a u3a phone available for those who are not comfortable providing their own phone numbers. Note: no contact details are given on our website, only on the email sent to registered walking group members.

Directions to start of walk do not need to be long or detailed. Please give ‘what3words’ as well as post code and grid refs. The walk co-ordinator can help if they have the grid ref. The easiest is to use the what3words app while standing at the start on your walkover. But be very accurate as a mis spell could take your group to who knows where !

Information you need to provide

• Date.
• Day. (Wednesday or Thursday)
• Distance.
• Grade. (easy, moderate,energetic)
• Lunch. (picnic, pub etc.)
• Meet. (place name)
• Grid Ref. (what3words, post code, grid ref)
• Time. (To meet & walk start)
• Contact. (for booking – your name, phone number, email)
• Mobile. (for use on day of walk, only if different from contact details above)
• Directions. (to start of walk, no need to be very detailed unless …)
• Details. A description of terrain, stiles, special difficult areas. Enough so walkers know what to expect as if the walk is suitable for them. Give approx time for end of walk.
• Lunch details. If needed and then details of how to order lunch if applicable.
